- Launch of GPU Sharing feature to enhance GPU utilization in Cocktail Cloud.
Acornsoft, a software developer providing cloud-native solutions and services, announced on the 22nd that it participated in the 'SW Market Fair' held at the Government Sejong Convention Center.
This event, hosted by the Ministry of Science and ICT and organized by the Korea Commercial Software Association, aims to promote the adoption of software in the public sector by showcasing and exhibiting new products and technologies from leading domestic software companies that will drive the digital transformation era.
At the event, outstanding commercial software products and technologies from domestic SW companies were presented and exhibited to encourage the adoption of commercial software, expand the transition to public SaaS, and share technology and information. Various programs were conducted to reflect recent key trends and revitalize the SW industry.
Acornsoft introduced and exhibited its enterprise cloud-native platform, ‘Cocktail Cloud,’ at the event, marking the beginning of its full-scale public market penetration.
‘Cocktail Cloud’ is an all-in-one container management platform (DevOps) developed and supplied to clients in various sectors, including public, financial, and manufacturing industries.
The technology of packaging containerized apps (services) into independently executable units is not constrained by infrastructure environments, allowing for the implementation and standardization of the same development and operation environment.
One of the strengths of Cocktail Cloud is that it supports the automation of the entire pipeline from development to build, deployment, and update, along with container management and monitoring, all within a single environment. It is the first in Korea to be certified by the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) and has been updated to version 4.8.
In response to the global GPU shortage, Cocktail Cloud recently introduced GPU Sharing technology, allowing multiple users to simultaneously utilize GPU resources.
This platform-level feature automatically provides GPU sharing upon user request, enhancing user convenience and potentially achieving up to seven times the efficiency compared to traditional methods.
Youngsoo Lee, CEO of Acornsoft, stated, "As digital transformation accelerates, the role of domestic SW companies is becoming increasingly important. We aim to elevate the status of Korean SW in the public cloud-native transition market with optimized solutions and consulting services that meet customer needs."
Cocktail Cloud, Acornsoft’s core solution, has been successfully applied across various fields.
It has been supplied to leading organizations, including the National Institute of Health under the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency, the Korean Intellectual Property Office, the Korea International Trade Association, the Korea Environment Corporation, the Export-Import Bank of Korea, the Korean National Police Agency, Samsung, Hyundai Card, NongHyup Bank, Shinhan Bank, and IBK Bank, proving its excellence in both the public and financial sectors.
